Course Description - Nurses

This conference aims to provide practical skills and knowledge for anesthesiologists and pain practitioners to apply regional anesthesia and state of the art pain modalities more effectively and safely. After successful completion of the course, attendees should be able to:

  • Describe the role of ultrasound imaging in regional anesthesia procedures
  • Describe the integration of ultrasound into their practice of regional anesthesia for the management of various surgical procedures
  • Identify the latest advances in multimodal analgesia and describe techniques which will aid in the management of acute and chronic pain
  • Improve knowledge and understanding of consent for regional anesthesia
  • Learn methods to improve team interaction in the operating room
  • Describe the use of regional anesthesia techniques and pain management in different patient surgical groups
  • Discuss continuous catheter techniques for acute pain management

The full registration fee less $75.00 administration fee will be refunded, if written notice of cancellation (e-mail or fax) prior to May 1, 2018. No refund for cancellation after May 1, 2018. Registration may be transferred among colleagues. In the unlikely event that a course is rescheduled or cancelled, pre-paid registrants will be given the opportunity to transfer to a future course or may receive a full refund. The course organizer will not be responsible for any travel and/or lodging reimbursements.
