Welcome to the International Symposium of Ultrasound for Regional Anesthesia, Pain Medicine, and Point-of-Care Application (ISURA 2021) in Toronto.
This symposium will be a hybrid meeting consisting of a virtual and an in person component. The in person meeting will be held in Chestnut Conference Centre, University of Toronto. We have put together a fantastic program for you.
Over the past 17 years, this meeting has become a dynamic forum for leaders and practitioners of ultrasound guided regional anesthesia and interventional pain procedures to share their knowledge with each other and discuss clinical experiences and challenges in this rapidly evolving field. We have since added point of care ultrasound for perioperative applications.
Distinguished national and international guest faculty and University of Toronto faculty will take part in:
regional anesthesia - 3 days of lectures, master classes and hands on workshops
pain medicine and MSK imaging - 3 days of lectures, master classes and hands on workshops
point-of-care application - 2 days of comprehensive trans thoracic echocardiography (TTE) workshop, 1 day of introductory trans esophageal echocardiography (TEE) workshop and 1 day of point of care ultrasound (POCUS) workshop
Both basic and advanced procedures will be discussed. There will be plenty of time for panel discussion, group scanning, and hands on practice on live subjects and phantom simulators.
All in all, this conference is designed to provide anesthesiologists and pain practitioners a comprehensive review of ultrasound imaging for regional anesthesia, pain medicine (diagnosis and intervention) and perioperative medicine. Our panel of international and national renowned faculty will provide you with the latest developments and state-of-the-art information in the world of ultrasound.
Please join us in Toronto for a rewarding educational experience in June 2021.
