Prerequisite:
Prior experience with some basic chronic pain block procedures and ultrasound-guided technical skills is an asset but not mandatory. Participants with no experience in ultrasound are required to participate in a 2-hour basic workshop on Friday, November 6.
CME Credit:
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, approved by the University of Toronto (14 credits). 7. Lumbosacral and caudal spine imaging and injection
8. Ultrasound guided Musculoskeletal injection
Distinguishing Features:
This ultrasound course will include:
1. Didactic lectures on basic ultrasound principles
2. Interactive lectures with scanning demonstration on live models
3. Hands on practice sessions
4. Ultrasound scan on live models and cadavers
5. Ultrasound guided needle insertion practice on phantoms and cadavers
